I would like to share to you people the new anime I'm currently
obsessed with. It was made by the people who worked on 'Tsukihime' a
very populat H-doujin in Japan.

Allow me to introduce....Fate/Stay Night.

It appears to take place in the same world as their signature work, Tsukihime, although they explore different themes. It is the first commercial title of TYPE-MOON.

An
anime series is also in the works by Studio Deen, with the official
announcement and teaser trailer being shown at Rondo Robe 2005 "-Gate
to Date-" event on June 26, 2005.

New Life Anime (http://www.newlifeanime.com/) is currently working on translating the game.
Fate/Stay Night
is about events in the life of a high-school boy, Emiya Shir¨, who
lives in Fuyuki City. At a young age his parents died in a fire and he
was adopted by Emiya Kiritsugu, an enigmatic man who called himself a
sorcerer. Eventually, Kiritsugu passed away as well.

Unknown
to him and the rest of Fuyuki City, their city is the battleground for
a secret war. When the time is right, sorcerers from near and far
gather with their Servants - the summoned spirits of heroes so mighty
they exist outside of time - and fight a war for possession of the Holy Grail,
a relic said to grant its owner a wish. The true names of the Servants
reveal their weaknesses, and so they are usually referred to by a
classification of type instead; Saber, Archer, Rider, Berserker,
Lancer, Caster, and Assassin.

When returning from cleaning his archery club's dojo
one day, Shir¨ accidentally sees two of the Servants, Archer and
Lancer, battling in the school yard. To preserve the secrecy of the
war, Lancer mortally wounds him; but a girl who up until now seemed a
normal classmate of his, T¨saka Rin, saves his life using a magical
pendant. As he continues home, bewildered, Lancer attacks him again.
Just before he's about to die for good, the servant Saber appears
before him, greeting him with the words "Art thou my master?"

Inexorably, he is drawn further and further into the Grail War...

Main characters

Surnames are first when given, in the Japanese style (except for Ilya.)

Emiya Shir¨
(ÐlŒm Ê¿ÀÉ) - The main character of the game. He is a serious boy and a
hard worker, in the second year of high school. His hobbies are fixing
all sorts of broken things, like VCRs and stoves, and cooking (although
he denies that one.) He learned some sorcery from his adoptive father
Kiritsugu, but was never very good at it. Initially, he is confused by
the Grail War, and tries to fight only to protect himself or to defeat
true evil. He has a secret crush on T¨saka Rin.

Saber -
Shir¨'s servant. Looks like a young woman, but is very strong. The
class of Saber is said to be the most powerful of the Servants. Very
loyal, and doesn't reveal many emotions, but likes stuffed
animals(particularly lions). She eats and sleeps an awful lot,
seemingly because Shir¨ can't supply her with much mana and she needs
to preserve what she has, but perhaps because she enjoys it as well...

T¨saka Rin
(ßhÛà ÁÝ) - Shir¨'s classmate, and secretly a sorcerer in the Grail
War. Member of a family of sorcerers, and powerful in her own right.
Her father died in the previous Grail War, and she is fighting in this
one to succeed him, with no real wish of her own. It seems she likes
Shir¨ as well, as she would have let him die if she hadn't known who
he was. Her servant is Archer, whom she disliked at first (she wanted
Saber.)

Mat¨ Sakura
(égÍ© —@) - A first-year in high school. After Kiritsugu died, she's
been going over to Shir¨'s house to help him with living on his own.
She's shy on the outside, but has an inner strength.

Ilyasveil von Einzbern
- "Ilya." A little girl, or so it appears, who came from outside the
country to fight in the Grail War. Accordingly, she's a powerful
sorcerer. She lives in a castle outside Fuyuki City with two maids. She
acts strangely towards Shir¨, alternately chatting amiably with him
and asking her Servant, Berserker, to kill him.

Archer -
Rin's servant. Due to being summoned roughly, he lost his memory of his
previous life and Grail Wars. He's sarcastic and cynical, which made
Rin instantly dislike him, but once past that he's reliable and a good
person at heart. Although he's an Archer class, he can hold his own in
close combat as well, preferring to use a pair of daggers.

Lancer -
Considered the most agile of the Servants. Seems to be a honorable
warrior, although he swears a lot. Calls his own Master a coward for
hiding his identity.

Berserker -
Ilya's servant. The class of Berserker sacrifices their sanity for
incredible power; they tend to destroy themselves due to their Masters
losing control over them, but Ilya seems to do it with ease...

Kotomine Kirei
(ÑÔ·å ¾_Àñ) - Through an agreement between the Mages' Association and
the Church, the Grail Wars are managed by a member of the Church. He's
actually a member of both. He fought in the previous Grail War, where
his father was the manager, and his father died protecting him; he
feels obliged to take his place. Although far lower ranked in the
Church then Ciel (from Tsukihime) was, he uses some of the same weapons
as her.

Minor characters

Mat¨ Shinji -
Sakura's older brother, a popular boy who is an old friend of Shir¨'s.
He openly likes Rin, but she snubs him. He doesn't think it's good for
his younger sister to visit Shir¨'s house every day.

Ry¨±d¨ Issei - Another friend of Shir¨'s.

Fujimura Taiga and Kuzuki S¨ichir¨ - Teachers at Shir¨'s school.

Mitsuzuri Ayako - Captain of the archery club. Rin's friend.

Makidera Kaede, Himuro Kane and Saegusa Yukika - Rin's classmates. All three are on the track team.

Leysritt and Sella - Ilya's maids.

Rider, Caster and Assassin - At the start of the game, nothing is known about these three servants beyond their existence.

There ya have it. Fate/Stay Night. I personally like the pairing Rin Tohsaka x Archer...I
find them so cute together. (Maybe because their outfit looks similar
or to my now obsession towards the Crimson colors. Hmmm)

Saturday, September 17, 2005

Oh gawd, how long has it been since I have updated this one? 3-4 weeks? Woodridge! Can't you believe that? 2nd year won against the 4th year in

was able to watch this when Rex (a friend of mine) lended me 13 CDs
which contains the anime Little Snow Fairy, Macross and this.
(Shingetsutan Tsukihime) At the start, the cool opening song and
animation drawn me closer to watch this. The first episode was
interesting, woman getting killed by a vampire in a parking lot. Then
there’s Shiki Tohno (who looks like Keitaro from Love Hina) with a cool
hair and red eyes!

is the story of Shiki Tohno. As a young boy, Shiki suffered a very
life-threatening injury. As a result of the injury, he is now able to
see "life lines" on objects and people which, when cut, will destroy
them. Still a young boy, he is given a special pair of glasses by a mysterious woman that allows him not to see the lines.

Fast
forward to Shiki's high school days. After years away from the Tohno
household (where he was sent after his injury), he moves back home
following the death of the head of the Tohno family, Shiki's father.
Shiki's sister, Akiha assumes responsibility of being the new head.

One
day, Shiki is walking home from school when he meets a beautiful woman,
Arcueid Brunestud. Shiki feels drawn to kill the woman, but he later
thinks that her murder was all just a nightmare, until she reappears in
front of him. Arcueid is a vampire princess.
The
mysterious island of Houraijima has reappeared after 50 years, and with
its reappearance has brings the attack of four gods, the Shitoushin,
who have their eyes set on the powers that protect and sustain the
island.

Six
survivng hanyou children of Houraijima send the youngest, a little girl
called Ai, to the outside world for help. Arriving on the shore of the
outside world, she finds Inuyasha, and asks him to help her and the
others. In the past, he and Kikyou had visited Houraijima, where they
fought with the Shitoushin. In doing that, Inuyasha received the
"Guren," a clawlike, crimson wound (of four slashes) on his back.

Along
with Kagome, Sango, Miroku, Shippou, and Kirara, he agrees to help Ai
and the endangered hanyou children because of his connection to the
island. Sesshoumaru had also fought one of the Shitoushin and received
the same wound.

Now
that Houraijima has reappeared, the wounds reappear on the backs of the
six hanyou children of Houraijima, Inuyasha, and Sesshoumaru, and call
for the defeat of the Shitoshin in order to break the "curse" (I'm
putting that in quotes because I didnt' quite catch if it was an actual
curse or just some kind of obligatoin to defeat the Shitoshin...) and
make the Guren wounds disappear. It seems like the Shitoushin seek the
power of the hanyou children to regenerate their own powers. Now, the
oldest child, a girl named Asagi, is called to be the next sacrifice
for them.

which holds the spirit of the miko Kanade. This miko had died fighting
the four Shitoushin in the past, but not before sealing the powers of
the Shitoushin into four spheres. Kanade gives Inuyasha and Asagi the
sealed box containing the gods' powers...

The
Shitoushin create a replica of Kikyou using her blood that they had
collected when she first visited the island 50 years ago. Using this
recreateion of Kikyou, the Shitoushin attack Inuyasha and use her miko
powers in order to steal the sealed box containing their powers and try
to break the seal of their strength...

Now
it's up to Inuyasha and his friends, the six hanyou children,
Sesshoumaru, and Kikyou, to find a way to defeat the poweful Shitoushin
and lift the Guren wounds...

of going to heaven-hell just to look for
undiscovered Kikyo/Inuyasha x Kikyo shrine, I stumbled into a
WHOLE different featuring Kikyo and....Suikotsu!

It all begins while Suikotsu's at the small village at the base of Mount
Hakurei,
and Kikyou, like the rest of the main cast, has come to Ushitora
looking for where Naraku's evil aura had disappeared to. As she's
passing through, she senses a shard and approaches the small hut that
Suikotsu and the children reside in. As she walks closer, she notices
him tending to an elderly woman's hand and notes the Shikon shard in
his neck. It's then that a young girl named Chiyo goes over to Kikyou,
saying "Wow, what a pretty miko." Kikyou kneels to the
girl's level and asks who Suikotsu is. Chiyo tells her that he's their
Doctor. It's then that Suikotsu and Kikyou formally introduce
themselves to each other; Kikyou is still perplexed as to how his shard
can be so pure and realizes that like her, he's also dead. A bit later,
we see them inside, having a brief conversation while the children
sleep. He tells her about how he's been caring for the orphaned
children, and even pauses to tuck one in their futon better, while
Kikyou simply stares at him. Outside, a group of men from the village
approach the hut, carrying a man who has injured himself on a farming
scythe. Upon seeing the blood, Suikotsu pales and begins to sweat.
Kikyou walks up behind him and offers her assistance, then she asks him
if he's okay (having noticed him pale). He begins to treat the wound,
but Kikyou continues to note how shaky he is, and how badly he's
sweating and offers to take over. Once Kikyou is finished tending
to the man's wound, she goes outside to find Suikotsu and Chiyo feeding
some birds. Suikotsu offers his apologies for having to back out like
that, and is embarrassed by it happening. Kikyou asks if he's always
been a doctor in that area, to which he tells her about coming from the
East and wandering for a while until he settled down in that town. This
is interrupted when he glances at his hands, and swears to see blood on
them, which he attempts to wash clean. Kikyou looks on perplexed as he
scrubs at the invisible blood on his hands.

That night, Kikyou
goes out with her shinidamachuu to gather more souls to maintain her
being. A bit later in the night, we see Suikotsu sleeping inside the
hut, and obviously having a bad dream. He's dreaming about the young
girl from the past and the Shichinin-tai, and how his other side claims
he's not a kind-hearted man. This causes him to wake abruptly in a cold
sweat, as Kikyou calls in through the door. He goes to great her, and
comments on what a nice day it's looking to be. Kikyou, once again,
mentally questions how he can't have any evil in him.

As
Suikotsu, Chiyo and a young boy named Yuuta are out gathering senburi
(an herbal plant), the village leader converses with Kikyou, telling
her about the "Suikotsu" of the Shichinin-tai. Meanwhile, InuYasha and
his group have confronted Suikotsu, believing that he is one of the
Shichinin-tai that is after them, InuYasha attacks him. Kikyou, sensing
Kagome's shards that Renkotsu had stolen moving into the area, goes to
find out what's going on. InuYasha, figuring the doctor thing is simply
a cover like what Renkotsu used in pretending to be a monk, and
continues to insist that Suikotsu is one of the Shichinin-tai after
them. It's then that Ginkotsu, Renkotsu and Jakotsu begin to attack the
village in an attempt to lure Suikotsu out. Down in the village itself,
Kikyou is already there, trying to get villagers to safety, and ready
to fight with her bow and arrow. Suikotsu arrives on the scene then,
and is shocked when the three members of the Shichinin-tai seem to
recognize him and berate him for being so hard to track down. He has a
brief flash to his dream from the night before, but still denies
knowing any of them. As him and Kikyou stand side by side facing off
with the three killers, InuYasha and his group approach, stopping
abruptly when they noticed Kikyou standing by Suikotsu. While Renkotsu
attacks InuYasha's group, Jakotsu begins to try and snap Suikotsu by
attacking him. It's then that Kikyou steps in to protect Suikotsu, and
she fires her purified arrow at Jakotsu to stop him. To make up for
Jakotsu having to dodge the arrow, Renkotsu has Ginkotsu fire directly
at Kikyou, knocking her to the ground. Due to the impact, she begins to
lose the souls she's gathered. Suikotsu rushes over to her, and pulls
her head up against his lap a bit, when Chiyo and Yuuta run onto the
scene. Jakotsu sends out his snake-blade towards them and Suikotsu
quickly stands and blocks the blades, getting a gash across his back
and shoulder. The children run to him, to see if he's okay, but the
wound and the blood cause him to start to revert to his other side. His
shard turns dark, his hair spikes upward, and green-markings appear on
his face as he grabs Yuuta around the neck. InuYasha steps in, saving
Yuuta, then him and Suikotsu face off. Seeing that the children seem to
still be affecting Suikotsu, Renkotsu orders Jakotsu to kill them, but
when he goes to do so, Suikotsu grabs his head and cries out to stop.
Realizing they can't fight until Suikotsu stabilizes in his other
personality, the three members of the Shichinin-tai take Suikotsu and
leave.

At this time, InuYasha and the others take Kikyou further
away from the barrier so that the shinidamachuu can bring her the souls
she needs. Once she's revived, she tells them about the barrier around Mount Hakurei
and how it affected Suikotsu's shard- keeping it pure until he snapped.
InuYasha asks her what she wants to do, and she tells him to leave her,
that she wants to go take care of the children for a while.

Suikotsu,
along with the other Shichinin-tai, meets up with Bankotsu- their
leader. Bankotsu has been planning an attack on the Daimyou that had
betrayed them ten years before, and with the others, Suikotsu helps to
extract their revenge. While somewhat relaxing in the remains of
the courtyard, Kouga shows up, looking to attack them. He faces off
with Bankotsu until InuYasha appears, then a fight between the two
groups breaks out, Suikotsu facing off with Miroku until orders from
the Saimyoushou make the Shichinin-tai retreat. Then they meet up with
Kohaku and Kanna, and are given the message that Sesshoumaru is also to
be gotten rid of. Bankotsu chooses to send Jakotsu and Suikotsu out on
this mission.

While Suikotsu and Jakotsu are out looking for
Sesshoumaru, Kikyou ventures forth again, and ends up running into
Bankotsu. At first it seems that they're going to fight, but they end
up talking instead. She asks him why he remains in the world if all
he's going to do is kill, and he tells her that he's done that before,
so why should it change now that he's dead. He says he doesn't worry
about the afterlife, but that he might as well make the best of things
while alive again. Then he says "Well Missy, us dead people all have the same sorry end waiting for us." Then walks off, saying that they should both merely hope that they can at least remain alive a little while longer.

Meanwhile,
Suikotsu and Jakotsu have found their target and begun to attack.
Suikotsu trying to go after Rin, and ending up falling down into the
river below when the bridge breaks. Downstream, Rin panics when she
awakens in Suikotsu's arms-but now, his hair is down and he once again
claims to be the kind doctor from before.

Kikyou looks on from a
cliff, sensing the pure shard nearing the village, she knows its
Suikotsu and heads towards the village herself. Suikotsu is already
there, introducing Rin to the other children, while Jakotsu watches
from nearby. It's then that the village leader and some men ride in on
horses, demanding that Suikotsu leave and blaming him for the
Shichinin-tai attacking the village before. It's then that he out of
nowhere, attacks them, obviously not being entirely kind as his
appearance would suggest. Seeing this happen, Rin tries to run, but is
apprehended by Jakotsu. Suikotsu then starts to raise his claws against
the children, but can't bring himself to do it. He even flashes to a
vision of Kikyou and curses at himself for it "Crap! Why am I seeing
HER face at a time like this!" As this is happening, Kikyou is
approaching the village in hopes that she can stop Suikotsu's shard
from becoming completely dark again. Suikotsu and Jakotsu leave,
without hurting the children, but still taking Rin hostage to use
against Sesshoumaru.

Kikyou makes it to the village, and asks
the children what happened (even though she pretty much figured it out
after seeing the distinct slash marks in the elder's bodies.) She
quickly takes one of the horses, and despite the risk it will cause her
own being, rides off towards Mount Hakurei.

At
the base of Mount Hakurei- Jakotsu is fighting Sesshoumaru while
Suikotsu holds Rin to the side. Finally, he makes a move as if to kill
the girl, and Sesshoumaru throws the Toukijin at him, stabbing him in
the upper chest. Since he does have a Shikon shard, this doesn't effect
him, and he goes to kill Rin once again, this time to be stopped by a
purity arrow that hits him in the neck. Kikyou staggers her way over to
the fallen body, using her bow as a crutch, and kneels beside
Suikotsu's fallen body. He opens his eyes, and turns towards her,
calling her name. It's then that she realizes her arrow purified his
shard, returning him to the kind-hearted Doctor she knew. Given this
situation, Kikyou can't decide what to do with him. It's then that
Suikotsu asks her to remove his shard and put him at peace. He tells
her, he remembers that he's died once already. Suikotsu then tells
Kikyou the entire story of his past- the young girl in the village, the
first time he heard the voice inside his head, and how he came to join
the Shichinin-tai. Hating his other side for killing so many, and being
unable to stop it he feels that there was no saving himself. Kikyou
tries to console him by telling him all humans have good and evil in
their hearts too and that he mustn't lose to his evil side. Suikotsu
pleads with her, even crying as he once again requests that she take
his shard and put him to rest before he can kill again. Kikyou starts
to reach out for the shard, then hesitates- part of her still wishing
she could save him. She reflects on what Bankotsu told her about all
dead people sharing the same fate, and once again tries for the shard
and hesitates. It's then that Jakotsu's blade slices the shard free and
he takes it, getting it before Kikyou could. Kikyou starts to panic a
little, but Suikotsu tells her it's fine, that it's what he wanted. His
body then returns to bones. Kikyou kneels beside the body a little
longer, and simply says "Suikotsu, please rest in peace" before having
to leave before all her souls left her.

And so ends their time together. Although it was brief, they shared an understanding, and a common bond that ran very deep.

23/08/05

Wheee...what
a good day to start a day getting late in the line formation. Happy
right? I can't even walk properly because i'm wearing this creepy
malong and tights (which is really tight, I should say). By the way, it
was an accident that I was wearing till school my pink slippers because
I was in fuse why my service was late like hell. Not my day.

Anyway,
back on topic...the opening of Buwan of Wika was done today, August 23,
by the Grade 5 students. It should be yesterday but since there was no
classes, it was postponed. To tell you the truth, the Grade 5's
performance was very boring, I want to sleep rather than watching their
show. *gets beaten by all the grade 5* ....Ow.

And
to think that after the assembly was going back again to regular
classes! I thought it was supposed to be homeroom only because all of
us were wearing Pilipinyana costumes. I tell you, it's REALLY hard to
study wearing a malong. Trust me. Good thing though, we only studied 3
subject (total is actually 10 in one day), Araling Panlipunan, Math and
English. Then we were happy. *cheers*

err...fellow people here in the blue-green gum ball! You have just
entered The Bloodstained Alley. This will deal mostly on my obsessions,
what crazy things I do AND Inuyasha and Kikyou.

08/22/05

Anyway,
I've decided to make a newbie xanga since there's no classes today (for
I don't know reason) and I think it sucks! Just when I was already
prepared, my school driver told us that there's no freaking classes!
Baaahhh...

Also,
since there's no classes, I have alot of time now to search for more
rare Inuyasha and Kikyo pics on the net. There's one site that I've
visited which made me fell completely in love with Kikyo in Armor.
(See. Inuyasha Movie: Guren No Horaijima). This are the only sites I've
visited so far:

http://www.neko-simba.net/shattered/
