Mwee. I would like to share to you people the new anime I'm currently obsessed with. It was made by the people who worked on 'Tsukihime' a very populat H-doujin in Japan.

Allow me to introduce....Fate/Stay Night.

Fate/Stay Night is a popular H Japanese visual novel game created by TYPE-MOON in 2004. It appears to take place in the same world as their signature work, Tsukihime, although they explore different themes. It is the first commercial title of TYPE-MOON.

An anime series is also in the works by Studio Deen, with the official announcement and teaser trailer being shown at Rondo Robe 2005 "-Gate to Date-" event on June 26, 2005.

New Life Anime (http://www.newlifeanime.com/) is currently working on translating the game. The demo has been completely translated by Insani (http://www.insani.org/)

Fate/Stay Night is about events in the life of a high-school boy, Emiya Shir¨, who lives in Fuyuki City. At a young age his parents died in a fire and he was adopted by Emiya Kiritsugu, an enigmatic man who called himself a sorcerer. Eventually, Kiritsugu passed away as well.

Unknown to him and the rest of Fuyuki City, their city is the battleground for a secret war. When the time is right, sorcerers from near and far gather with their Servants - the summoned spirits of heroes so mighty they exist outside of time - and fight a war for possession of the Holy Grail, a relic said to grant its owner a wish. The true names of the Servants reveal their weaknesses, and so they are usually referred to by a classification of type instead; Saber, Archer, Rider, Berserker, Lancer, Caster, and Assassin.

When returning from cleaning his archery club's dojo one day, Shir¨ accidentally sees two of the Servants, Archer and Lancer, battling in the school yard. To preserve the secrecy of the war, Lancer mortally wounds him; but a girl who up until now seemed a normal classmate of his, T¨saka Rin, saves his life using a magical pendant. As he continues home, bewildered, Lancer attacks him again. Just before he's about to die for good, the servant Saber appears before him, greeting him with the words "Art thou my master?"

Inexorably, he is drawn further and further into the Grail War...

Main characters

Surnames are first when given, in the Japanese style (except for Ilya.)

  • Emiya Shir¨ (ÐlŒm Ê¿ÀÉ) - The main character of the game. He is a serious boy and a hard worker, in the second year of high school. His hobbies are fixing all sorts of broken things, like VCRs and stoves, and cooking (although he denies that one.) He learned some sorcery from his adoptive father Kiritsugu, but was never very good at it. Initially, he is confused by the Grail War, and tries to fight only to protect himself or to defeat true evil. He has a secret crush on T¨saka Rin.
  • Saber - Shir¨'s servant. Looks like a young woman, but is very strong. The class of Saber is said to be the most powerful of the Servants. Very loyal, and doesn't reveal many emotions, but likes stuffed animals(particularly lions). She eats and sleeps an awful lot, seemingly because Shir¨ can't supply her with much mana and she needs to preserve what she has, but perhaps because she enjoys it as well...
  • T¨saka Rin (ßhÛà ÁÝ) - Shir¨'s classmate, and secretly a sorcerer in the Grail War. Member of a family of sorcerers, and powerful in her own right. Her father died in the previous Grail War, and she is fighting in this one to succeed him, with no real wish of her own. It seems she likes Shir¨ as well, as she would have let him die if she hadn't known who he was. Her servant is Archer, whom she disliked at first (she wanted Saber.)
  • Mat¨ Sakura (égÍ© —@) - A first-year in high school. After Kiritsugu died, she's been going over to Shir¨'s house to help him with living on his own. She's shy on the outside, but has an inner strength.
  • Ilyasveil von Einzbern - "Ilya." A little girl, or so it appears, who came from outside the country to fight in the Grail War. Accordingly, she's a powerful sorcerer. She lives in a castle outside Fuyuki City with two maids. She acts strangely towards Shir¨, alternately chatting amiably with him and asking her Servant, Berserker, to kill him.
  • Archer - Rin's servant. Due to being summoned roughly, he lost his memory of his previous life and Grail Wars. He's sarcastic and cynical, which made Rin instantly dislike him, but once past that he's reliable and a good person at heart. Although he's an Archer class, he can hold his own in close combat as well, preferring to use a pair of daggers.
  • Lancer - Considered the most agile of the Servants. Seems to be a honorable warrior, although he swears a lot. Calls his own Master a coward for hiding his identity.
  • Berserker - Ilya's servant. The class of Berserker sacrifices their sanity for incredible power; they tend to destroy themselves due to their Masters losing control over them, but Ilya seems to do it with ease...
  • Kotomine Kirei (ÑÔ·å ¾_Àñ) - Through an agreement between the Mages' Association and the Church, the Grail Wars are managed by a member of the Church. He's actually a member of both. He fought in the previous Grail War, where his father was the manager, and his father died protecting him; he feels obliged to take his place. Although far lower ranked in the Church then Ciel (from Tsukihime) was, he uses some of the same weapons as her.

Minor characters

  • Mat¨ Shinji - Sakura's older brother, a popular boy who is an old friend of Shir¨'s. He openly likes Rin, but she snubs him. He doesn't think it's good for his younger sister to visit Shir¨'s house every day.
  • Ry¨±d¨ Issei - Another friend of Shir¨'s.
  • Fujimura Taiga and Kuzuki S¨ichir¨ - Teachers at Shir¨'s school.
  • Mitsuzuri Ayako - Captain of the archery club. Rin's friend.
  • Makidera Kaede, Himuro Kane and Saegusa Yukika - Rin's classmates. All three are on the track team.
  • Leysritt and Sella - Ilya's maids.
  • Rider, Caster and Assassin - At the start of the game, nothing is known about these three servants beyond their existence.

There ya have it. Fate/Stay Night. I personally like the pairing Rin Tohsaka x Archer...I find them so cute together. (Maybe because their outfit looks similar or to my now obsession towards the Crimson colors. Hmmm)

Oh gawd, how long has it been since I have updated this one? 3-4 weeks? JESSUZ...!

Errr...sorry about that, I've been busy again with lots of projects and assignments. (I shouln't forget lots of sermons coming from the teachers) I think I'll be busy again this coming October since we'll be pulled out of classes due to the training for the Bacoor Meet. Oh dear gawds! I forgot to go online yesterday because I went home exactly 7:00pm, and that's the time I should be doing my assignments. Gomenasai minnasan!

Well actually, yesterday was our Bigkas Sa Dulawait. Our Sophomores participants were preparing for this for 3 weeks, I think? You know, if we happen to beat the 4th year students, our batch will be a legend for Woodridge! Can't you believe that? 2nd year won against the 4th year in the Bigkas Sa Dulawit?

Sadly though, we were only in the 1st place. It goes like this people...

Champion: 4th Year
1st Runner up: 2nd Year
2nd Runner up: 3rd Year
3rd Runner up: 1st Year

Hah! But we won against the 3rd year! Happy! Whheeeee!!! Discipline is always the key to success. Hahaha.

Suffering from an aching back.

“Pray for me. XD” -Kyouyasha

Jessuz… so much work, so much body pains. I can’t believe that this is not my lucky day! Here’s, I forgot my assignment in Statistics (good thing I’m one of the Artist Team or else I won’t be excused), then here’s having this pimple in my nose, I got poked in the eye HARD (I think my eyeballs went back) and those creepy mini-projects given. Not my day, NOT my DAY!

Good thing though, the only miracle that happened today is that there was an announcement that there’s no classes on MONDAY! Yay! *cheers* Now I will a lot of time to but that Barot Saya or whatever costume. More rest for us! Hahaha!

SHINGETSUTAN TSUKIHIME (Tales of the True Moon)

“Currently, this is one of the anime that is now in my Top 10.”

“I’ll make you take responsibility for killing me.” –Arcrueid Brunestud

I was able to watch this when Rex (a friend of mine) lended me 13 CDs which contains the anime Little Snow Fairy, Macross and this. (Shingetsutan Tsukihime) At the start, the cool opening song and animation drawn me closer to watch this. The first episode was interesting, woman getting killed by a vampire in a parking lot. Then there’s Shiki Tohno (who looks like Keitaro from Love Hina) with a cool hair and red eyes!

Tsukihime, Lunar Legend is the story of Shiki Tohno. As a young boy, Shiki suffered a very life-threatening injury. As a result of the injury, he is now able to see "life lines" on objects and people which, when cut, will destroy them. Still a young boy, he is given a special pair of glasses by a mysterious woman that allows him not to see the lines.

Fast forward to Shiki's high school days. After years away from the Tohno household (where he was sent after his injury), he moves back home following the death of the head of the Tohno family, Shiki's father. Shiki's sister, Akiha assumes responsibility of being the new head.

One day, Shiki is walking home from school when he meets a beautiful woman, Arcueid Brunestud. Shiki feels drawn to kill the woman, but he later thinks that her murder was all just a nightmare, until she reappears in front of him. Arcueid is a vampire princess. As a result of this, Arcueid recruits Shiki to help fight Roa, the antagonist vampire who has been on a killing spree of late.

Sounds cool right? For a plot that is. The anime’s story get deeper and deeper as it progresses. Other important characters will appear, introducing:

Ciel (the woman with the coolest fashion of all!) - An upperclassman of Shiki's, or so it seems. She is the only member of the Japanese tea ceremony club. She is actually a vampire hunter for the Catholic Church and finds Arcueid detestable (but is torn, because she likes Shiki). Her body was used in Roa's last incarnation, and until Roa dies, she cannot.

Akiha Tohno - Shiki's younger sister and the new head of the Tohno household. She is very prim and proper and carries a grace and nobility about her. As the story progresses, the viewer discovers that she has had mysterious powers since childhood.

Hisui & Kohaku - The only two maids in the Tohno mansion. They are twin sisters but act very differently. Hisui seems to be very cold and emotionless while Kohaku is always smiling and cheerful. They even wear different dress; Hisui wears a western maid uniform while Kohaku wears a Japanese kimono.

Nrvnqsr Chaos - Pronounced as "Nero", this vampire is known as the tenth of the twenty-seven Ancestors of Dead Apostles, the highest in rank of the vampires in Tsukihime. Has 666 beasts on his body, from deers and wolves to mythological creatures like unicorns. Nrvnqsr is a word play: If you add each letter in the Hebrew numbering system, it becomes 666. Shiki fights him along with Arcueid by the first third part of the story.

Roa - Not much is known about Roa at the start of the series, only that he is a vampire on a killing spree.

Aoko Aozaki - A mysterious red-haired woman who always carries a suitcase. She met with Shiki eight years prior to the start of the series, and to this day, is the only person he will call "Teacher". She gave Shiki a pair of glasses, the Mystic Eyes Killer, that block out the life lines and allow him to live a normal life.

Arihiko Inui - Shiki's classmate and best friend. His parents died when he was young, and he lives with his sister, Ichiko (who never appears in the anime.)

Makihisa Tohno - Makihisa) The patriarch of the Tohno family. Dies just prior to the events of Tsukihime.

Satsuki Yamikuza – Shiki’s classmate.
